Position Overview:
The County is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee a critical third-party systems migration project. This role requires a strong background in managing data conversion, application migration, and systems integration. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in healthcare IT and a deep understanding of complex system transitions.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management:
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Data Conversion and Integration:
- Coordinate the migration and integration of data and applications from legacy systems to the target environment.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance during all stages of the migration.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and vendors to gather requirements and align on project objectives.
- Act as a primary liaison between stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Vendor Management:
- Oversee vendor activities, including performance monitoring, and contract compliance.
- Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- PMP certification is required. Scrum Master certifications is a plus.
- Over 10 years of project and product management experience in healthcare IT.
- Experience in data migration, and system integrations due to mergers/acquisitions.
- Successful execution of large-scale projects in diverse healthcare environments, such as hospitals and clinics.
- Expertise in agile methodologies and system development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Proficient in tools such as SharePoint, and Microsoft Project Plan.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud), data interfaces (HL7), and healthcare-specific applications like EHR, PACS, and Lab systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across geographically distributed locations.
