The Network Administrator’s role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. Must have certifications and experience in routers, wireless AP, switches and firewalls. This role provides critical security oversight of the Village’s network. Candidates should have minimum three years’ experience in similar roles and certifications from entities such as CompTIA, Cisco, or Fortinet.

Typical duties include:

• Design and deployment of company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including Servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.
• Maintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks.
• Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.
• Coordinating and implementing network software and hardware upgrades.
• Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN performance, connectivity and related network problems.
• Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
• Documenting network infrastructure and design.
