Job Description: 

The Specialist ESiNET will be responsible for performing the ESiNET integration tasks necessary for deploying all the relevant NG9-1-1 ESiNET technologies such as VOIP, SIP, digital voice and common network technologies.

 Scope of Services:

• Provide descriptive Network details of the ESiNET infrastructure for the PSAP.
• Identify the standards-based NG9-1-1 core functionality.
• Participate Class 1 ESiNET network breakout session meetings to define ESiNET architecture between PSAC1 and PSAC2 per NENA/APCO standards.
• Produce ESiNET Core Services device configuration templates for all ESiNET components.
• Manage the configuration and deployment of all the ESiNET network technology.
• Develop OSP connectivity best practices into the PSAPs and review and approve all vendor designs ensuring compliance with standards and governance models established by the City of New York.

Required Skills

• Min 12 yrs experience in a particular technical and/or business application, product, platform, methodology or skill set.
• Minimum 12 years’ experience VIOP/Standard PBX Voice.
• Experience in methods and best practices in detailed engineering in voice and network development.
• Minimum 12 years’ experience as a lead Engineer in the network technology domain.
• Knowledge of Legacy E9-1-1 and NG9-1-1 technologies and standards such as NENA i3.

Highly Desired

• A Subject Matter Expert in Enterprise Integration and design of Mission Critical 9-1-1 systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication and clear business writing skills as well as interpersonal skills.
• Organization, creativity, flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• CCIE certification or equivalent network system integration experience.
• A good understanding of Oracle SBC and B2BUA configurations and reference architectures.

Experience Firewall technology particularly Palo Alto Networks is a plus.
